On June 2, more than 100 elected officials and influential individuals will participate in National Gun Violence Awareness Day activities. Over 150 Orange meet-ups across the nation will take place. To raise awareness about gun violence and the dangers of guns, more than 350 #WearOrange events will be held across the country. In early 2021, the hashtag #WearOrange was trending nationally on Twitter.
